2NE1’s Minzy Performs With LA Dance Troupe

2NE1’s youngest member Minzy (Gong Min-ji) has been spotted dancing with an American dance crew.

On January 29, Minzy shared a link to a YouTube video on her official Twitter account. The video was posted by the choreographer Antoine Troupe, and featured Minzy dancing alongside other performers. The group danced to Janet Jackson’s “Feedback.”

The video, titled “Feedback Choreo Ft. 12 Yr Old Dancer Kyndall Harris and 2NE1’s Minzy | @Antoine Troupe” features a variety of dancers. Minzy is seen dancing during a group portion of the choreography, in what appears to be an LA dance class.

Along with Minzy’s dance class in the United States, other 2NE1 members are also spending time in the United States. Most notably, 2NE1’s CL is reportedly planning to release music in the United States, and working with producer Scooter Braun. There are also reports that CL will be working with the Black Eyed Peas and Florence and the Machine.

Minzy also shared pictures on her Instagram with members of the American production duo Poket Media.

2NE1 last made a comeback in February 2014 with the album “Crush.” The group primarily pursued solo activities throughout the year after member Park Bom was involved in a drug scandal.YG Entertainment has yet to announce a 2015 comeback date for 2NE1.
It is unknown whether Minzy is in Los Angeles on vacation or for work.

2NE1’s Dara to star in «Dr. Mo Clinic» web drama

2NE1’s Dara has bagged her first lead role via a web drama that will air in South Korea and China.

Titled “Dr. Mo Clinic,” the drama centers on two individuals dumped by their lovers minus a proper breakup.

Co-starring with Dara is model-actor Kim Young Kwang. YG Entertainment describes Dara’s character as an “eccentric office worker who hides her face with a puppet mask and her long hair when embarrassed.”

Dara is hoping that the drama will provide her the chance to meet new fans all over the world. “I thought this drama is a very good opportunity for me as I can meet fans around the world on-line through this new genre of web-drama,” she said. She added that her character Lee So Dam is “very interesting as she is so similar to me.”

“Of course, I feel somewhat nervous and burdened, but I will concentrate and work hard,” Dara added.

In 2007, Dara played a supporting role in the Korean drama “The Return of Iljimae,” which starred actor Jung Il-woo. Before joining 2NE1, Dara appeared in dramas and films in the Philippines including “Can This Be Love,” “Super Noypi,” “Krystala” and “Crazy for You.”

“Dr. Mo Clinic” will start airing this March on Naver TV Cast in South Korea and Youku in China. It is directed by Kwon Hyuk Cha (“A Gentleman’s Dignity” and “Master’s Sun”).

Dara Shares Selfie Photo After Delivering Charcoal for Charity

Korean girl group singer Dara (Sandara Park) recently volunteered to take part in a charcoal briquette delivery for charity and shared a selfie for her fans afterwards.

Dara, known for being a member of girl group 2NE1 alongside CL, Bom and Minzy, also invited fans to join her in a briquette delivery run.

“I thought a lot about how to get this to work and decided it would be too hard on my own,” the singer posted on her Twitter account on Wednesday, “I decided to ask my fans and will be waiting for their warm response and participation.”

A day later, she wrote, “It ended quicker than I thought.” She then thanked 2NE1’s fans, named Black Jacks, for volunteering to join her.

On Friday, Dara and the Black Jacks managed a successful delivery to the set of ‘Beautiful Heart’. The singer then posted a photo on her Instagram after, showing herself in a beanie, large earmuffs and bundled up in a jacket.

She captioned the photo with the words, “Great job everyone. I’m so happy and it feels good to be sweating! So good! Good job to Black Jack too.”

Dara isn’t the only one who volunteered for the briquette delivery run, as other artists under her label YG Entertainment also volunteered, such as sibling duo Akdong Musician, former idol Sean and soloist Lee Hi.

Fans uploaded photos on Korean fan cafes and sites about the delivery, showing Dara and other YG artists hanging out with fans, as well as photos of the food that was delivered by the artists.

2NE1 released their second studio album Crush in Korea last year before releasing it in Japan. They also had their fourth concert tour “AON: All or Nothing” last year, performing in countries such as the Philippines, China, Taiwan, Japan and more.

Surface Pro 3 – Head to Head music is 2NE1 «I am the best!»

K-pop girl group 2NE1 has taken over American television with a recent commercial for Microsoft.


The commercial, entitled “Head to Head,” compares the Microsoft Surface Pro 3 to the Macbook Air, all to a backdrop of 2NE1’s hit song “I Am the Best.”

The commercial has been airing since August, but some of you who have completely given up on American TV for Korean fare may have missed the advertisement at first. The best part of the commercial is that the song remains in its Korean version, proving the power of the Hallyu wave. Watch the commercial in all of its K-pop glory:

This commercial is only the beginning for 2NE1’s American ventures. YG Entertainment recently announced that CL will debut as a solo artist in the U.S. in 2015. She will be working with manager Scooter Baurn, who also manages Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, and Psy.

Fuse TV features CL as one of the “10 Breakout Artists for 2015″

After including 2NE1’s “I Am The Best” on their previous playlist, Fuse TV includes CL on their “10 Breakout Artists for 2015” list.

On January 8th, Fuse TV broke out their fearless forecast for 2015 as they feature the up and coming artists for 2015 and mentioned CL alongside ZHU, Bea Miller and more.
The article also covered CL’s work with Diplo, Skrillex, Snoop Dogg and more, further introducing her upcoming expansion in the United States this year. A video for her track “MTBD” was also included in the post.

Meanwhile, CL is preparing for her solo debut in the United States under the management of Scooter Braun this Spring.

will.i.am & Taboo plan to collaborate with CL on Black Eyed Peas’ 20th anniversary album?

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the Black Eyed Peas for which it seems they are preparing a special album they are hoping 2NE1’s CL will feature on.

A series of tweets by will.i.am and Taboo showed they were both eager to start working on a track with CL for their upcoming anniversary album. CL is expected to travel to the States soon to put the finishing touches on her US debut. Hopefully, she can squeeze in a few recording sessions with the Black Eyed Peas and maybe they can correspondingly feature on her album.

2NE1 is no stranger to the Black Eyed Peas, the girls featured on a track for will i am’s solo album #willpower and CL had a much talked about stage with two members of the group at the ‘2012 MAMA Awards’.

In other news, anticipation is steadily growing for CL’s US solo debut set for release sometime this year.
