2NE1’s Dara to join Jinusean on stage for “Tell Me One More Time” this week

This week, Blackjacks can expect Dara to take the stage once again as she will be featuring in Jinusean‘s stage for “Tell Me One More Time.”

According to Jinusean, following the group’s first collaboration stage on KBS Yoo Hee Yeol’s Sketchbook, many fans have been requesting for them to collaborate again. Hearing the fans’ requests and adding, “We like 2NE1’s music too,” Dara will be joining the duo on stage as requested in lieu Jang Hanna.

This is an exciting piece of news, though not nearly surprising as fellow YG Entertainment artist Epik High utilized the same promotion technique of switching featured singers during their “Happen Ending” stages, which included 2NE1‘s Minzy, Akdong Musician‘s Lee Suhyun, Younha, and more, giving the track a different feel provoked by different vocalists.

2NE1’s Dara to star in «Dr. Mo Clinic» web drama

2NE1’s Dara has bagged her first lead role via a web drama that will air in South Korea and China.

Titled “Dr. Mo Clinic,” the drama centers on two individuals dumped by their lovers minus a proper breakup.

Co-starring with Dara is model-actor Kim Young Kwang. YG Entertainment describes Dara’s character as an “eccentric office worker who hides her face with a puppet mask and her long hair when embarrassed.”

Dara is hoping that the drama will provide her the chance to meet new fans all over the world. “I thought this drama is a very good opportunity for me as I can meet fans around the world on-line through this new genre of web-drama,” she said. She added that her character Lee So Dam is “very interesting as she is so similar to me.”

“Of course, I feel somewhat nervous and burdened, but I will concentrate and work hard,” Dara added.

In 2007, Dara played a supporting role in the Korean drama “The Return of Iljimae,” which starred actor Jung Il-woo. Before joining 2NE1, Dara appeared in dramas and films in the Philippines including “Can This Be Love,” “Super Noypi,” “Krystala” and “Crazy for You.”

“Dr. Mo Clinic” will start airing this March on Naver TV Cast in South Korea and Youku in China. It is directed by Kwon Hyuk Cha (“A Gentleman’s Dignity” and “Master’s Sun”).

“I thought a lot about how to get this to work and decided it would be too hard on my own,” the singer posted on her Twitter account on Wednesday, “I decided to ask my fans and will be waiting for their warm response and participation.”

A day later, she wrote, “It ended quicker than I thought.” She then thanked 2NE1’s fans, named Black Jacks, for volunteering to join her.

On Friday, Dara and the Black Jacks managed a successful delivery to the set of ‘Beautiful Heart’. The singer then posted a photo on her Instagram after, showing herself in a beanie, large earmuffs and bundled up in a jacket.

She captioned the photo with the words, “Great job everyone. I’m so happy and it feels good to be sweating! So good! Good job to Black Jack too.”

Dara isn’t the only one who volunteered for the briquette delivery run, as other artists under her label YG Entertainment also volunteered, such as sibling duo Akdong Musician, former idol Sean and soloist Lee Hi.

Fans uploaded photos on Korean fan cafes and sites about the delivery, showing Dara and other YG artists hanging out with fans, as well as photos of the food that was delivered by the artists.

2NE1 released their second studio album Crush in Korea last year before releasing it in Japan. They also had their fourth concert tour “AON: All or Nothing” last year, performing in countries such as the Philippines, China, Taiwan, Japan and more.
